Underbrush, eucalyptus and forest berry aromas mingle with whiffs of toasted nut and blue flower. Firm but elegantly structured, the linear palate features dried cherry, star anise and ground clove alongside tight, fine-grained tannins that leave an assertive close.

Made with certified-organic fruit, the San Polo 2019 Rosso di Montalcino is light and silky with easy aromas of forest berry, wet stone and dried violet. The aromas are subtle and pure, and these are followed up with good power at the back, making it an ideal partner to a pasta dish with cream, peas and mushrooms. 43,600 bottles were produced. Best after 2022.
