This has an intense nose of grapefruit, slate, green apples, white lavender and crushed stones. Mouthwateringly fresh with excellent concentration and power, from citrus to hints of dried lime and flowers, evolving to some petrol. Long, mineral finish. Drink now or hold. Screw cap.

The 2016 Wigan Riesling has an incredibly distinct nose, with aromas of blue cheese, thyme, sea salt, green apple, hay and lime zest. Pleasingly, the palate follows suit and closes with a lingering, crushed rock/spring flower character—that's Eden Valley asserting its regionality in the mouth. This is a marvelously distinct wine, laser focused but enveloping at the same time.
