The 1986 offers a bouquet of ripe mineral and tobacco-scented fruit. Medium-bodied, relatively oaky yet deep, and still firm and tannic, the 1986 needs additional cellaring. There is plenty of tannin in the finish, but it is not astringent. Anticipated maturity: 1995-2015. Last tasted, 4/93.
