Veneto has 14 DOCG and 11 DOC appellations. Among them, the three most important DOC production areas, Valpolicella ,Soave and Bardolino , are all located in the west of the production area.
Most of the grapes in Veneto are planted in the southern alluvial plains. There are 12 varieties in the Lison-Pramaggiore DOC area: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Blanco, and Riesling. and 6 other local varieties. Prosecco from Veneto is one of the best sparkling wines in the world, made from ancient Prosecco grapes, fresh and vibrant.
Soave white wine produced in the Soave region is a typical Italian non-sweet white wine with elegant aroma and refreshing taste. Soave also produces sweet wines, the local Recioto di Soave (Recioto di Soave) is a famous dessert wine made from dried grapes. The glucose content after air-drying increases, and the wine brewed with it is also particularly fragrant and sweet. The Bardolino region mainly produces early-drinking red wines, and Bardolino Superiore is its DOCG wine. Veneto is also home to Procecco, the second largest sparkling wine producing region in Italy. The sparkling wines in this region are light, soft and have a nutty aroma.
